Lidl recalls popular snack food and issues urgent warning to shoppers

Lidl shoppers have been sent an urgent warning with the retailer re-calling a popular snack product.

Taking to the Food Standards Agency website, the shop is asking people to return its Snaktastic Chilli Heatwave Tortilla Chips.

This is because it "may contain milk which is not mentioned on the label". As a result, it could cause a posisble health risk for some.

They explain: "Lidl GB is recalling Snaktastic Chilli Heatwave Tortilla Chips because they may contain milk which is not mentioned on the label. Because of a mis-pack, the pack may contain Tangy Cheese flavour Tortilla Chips. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents."

Following what it called a "mis-pack", anyone with such allergies is advised not to eat the item and can return it for a refund,
