LIDL have released images inspired at by a recent campaign featuring actor Harrison Ford to celebrate winning a global whisky award.
Lidl’s Ben Bracken Islay Single Malt Scotch was awarded both Gold and Category Winner in the World Whisky Awards 2025. The category it won in was the best Single Malt within its Islay region in the 12 years and under category, beating all other brands.
The retailer decided to celebrate with a cheeky photoshoot inspired by another shoot featuring the Hollywood star.
Ford featured in a series of episodic films for Glenmorangie Highland single malt directed by actor and filmmaker Joel Edgerton.
Once Upon a Time in Scotland follows Ford as he journeys to Glenmorangie’s Highland site, and discover the skill and craftmanship that goes into making each bottle of its complex and elegant whisky.
The actor can be seen enjoying Scotland — from getting to grips with the nuances of Scottish pronunciation and kilt etiquette, to bonding with locals over a dram.
Lidl's "Harrison Af(Ford)able" is pictured wearing the official Lidl Tartan in a similar Scottish landscape. The tartan was created in 2019 to mark the 25th year of Lidl in Scotland, plus the opening of its 100th Scottish store.
Produced on the Isle of Islay, Ben Bracken is described as "fit for a Hollywood palette, with an obviously peaty aroma backed up by sponge pudding and candied orange".
Priced at £18.49, Lidl’s whole range of Ben Bracken whiskies are available in stores nationwide.
