Lidl offering £20K store finders fee and there are several Bristol locations on their wish list

Budget retailer Lidl have said they will reward members of the public who successfully identify sites for new stores. The supermarket is hoping to expand their number of UK sites to 1,100 by 2025 claiming many communities are crying out for a Lidl.

The fee would be 1.5 per cent of the site purchase which means if a site sells for £1.5million the finder could receive £22,500. Alternatively they could claim the equivalent of 10 per cent of the site's rent in the first year.

Helpfully, Lidl have published an extensive list of all the places in the UK they are most interested in, and several are in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Do you know any large enough buildings suitable?

Announcing the finder's fee plan, Lidl chief development officer Richard Taylor said the fees were "available to absolutely anyone who can identify a viable option for a new store that we're not already aware of, and we welcome any suitable suggestions".

Lidl are happy to consider stand alone stores, retail parks and even convert existing buildings. You can find the contact details for Lidl's regional property office here
