Lidl names 18 places across Leeds where it wants to open new stores

Lidl has named 18 places across Leeds where it wants to build new stores and five stores it wants to relocate - this follows the supermarket chains latest scheme.

The German company are investing £1.3 billion in its expansion and has revealed that it is offering a finder’s fee to members of the public who successfully identify suitable sites for new Lidl stores.

The fee is either 1.5% of the total freehold purchase price or 10% of the first year’s rent for leaseholds, which would equate to £22,500 for a completed £1.5m site purchase.
