Low-cost supermarket Lidl is celebrating the best of British brews with the return of it’s popular Craft Beer Festival. For one week only, shoppers across the country will be able to discover and enjoy a range of new tipples.
The store has options for all beer drinkers, whether they are a lager lover or an IPA connoisseur. The festival line-up is led by the Pornstar Martini Ale (4.6% ABV, £1.49) from Cold Town Brewery. A punchy flavour combination of passionfruit with vanilla and citrus notes in a creamy ale makes for a unique take on the classic cocktail.
Exclusive to Lidl, Harbour Brewing’s 12 Miles North IPA (3.8% ABV, £1.39) offers a taste of fresh pineapple and papaya, transporting drinkers straight to the Carribbean coast. This bright, light and crisp dry hopped IPA is refreshing like a lager, but with a subtle hop bitterness.
Drygate Brewing’s Double Dirigible (7.3% ABV, £1.99) is perfectly suited to spring. Combining peach and raspberry fruits, a guaranteed favourite for those seeking a refreshing hit on a warm summer’s day.
Also hitting the aisles is Black Sheep’s Peanut Brittle Stout (6.9% ABV, £1.79); a Yorkshire brew that infuses sweet and salty for a mouth-watering combination. The grand finale of the festival comes in the form of the newest addition to the line-up – Yeastie Boy’s Gunnamatta Earl Grey IPA (6.5% ABV, £1.49) – the floral nose develops into a long dry finish of stonefruit and citrus.
