Lidl is selling a £22.99 heated blanket that is said to cost 2p per hour to run.
With the cost of living crisis affecting how often we choose to put the heating on, many shoppers are looking for cheaper, cosier alternatives. Products such as hot water bottles, plug in heaters and Oodies have proven extremely popular in the past few months, offering warmth for a fraction of the price.
According to the retail giant, the Silvercrest Heated Underblanket costs 2p per hour to run (16p for the whole night) compared with a 24KW boiler costing £22.08 (based on eight hours sleep.)
