Lidl launch their own veggie haggis ahead of Burns Night

Those looking to take part in both Veganuary and Burns Night could have a reason to celebrate this week after Lidl announced the launch of their latest product.

The supermarket has just introduced its first ever Vegetarian Haggis meal as part of its popular McKinlay’s range.

Offering a tasty alternative to traditional haggis this January 25th (or let's face it anytime really), the new product is in stores now.

Featuring the classic Scottish recipe of vegetarian haggis, mashed potatoes and swede, the ready meal for one is vegan certified.

It joins Lidl’s growing range of Scottish produce that the firm say Robert Burns himself would be proud of.

The McKinlay’s Vegetarian Haggis, Neeps & Tatties ready meal is available to buy now across Lidl’s 104 Scottish stores and is priced at just £1.39.

The chain say the new addition is part of their long-standing commitment to Scotland’s food and drink industry, with over 400 products from over 60 Scottish suppliers available in their stores all year-round.
