Lidl issue casting call for Irish shoppers to appear in new TV ad as 'all shapes and sizes welcome'

Lidl has put out a casting call for their new TV ad campaign - and anyone can apply.

In a post on their social media channels, the supermarket said: "We are looking for real Lidl customers to represent what it's like to shop in Lidl stores.

Applicants must be "interested in being on TV and having a bit of fun along the way"

More importantly, the brand want all mixes of people - from single people, couples, mothers, fathers, cousins, the whole shebang.

All "shapes and sizes" are welcome, but there are a couple of requirements:

  • Adults must be aged 30 or over
  • Children must be between 10 and 14 years old
  • You must be available between August 16 and August 18

Many Lidl stores are hiring for as many as 66 positions in Ireland at the moment with some very lucrative salaries available.

The supermarket chain has a variety of roles available with one store manager position as well as multiple deputy store manager vacancies.

One store manager job in West Dublin would give the successful candidate a salary of €55,000 per year, eventually rising as high as €70,000.

To get the position you would need to have finished your Leaving Cert and have a "minimum two years management experience."

Other perks include a company pension and a company car.

A number of deputy store manager roles are also listed at the moment which would pay "€42,000 rising to €50,000 over four years."

The ideal candidate would have a "minimum of two years management experience in a fast-paced environment."
