A popular north Dublin Lidl store will reopen next week after being shut since August 2021.
The Blakestown branch in Dublin 15 will open its doors to shoppers again on Thursday, February 17.
The old building was demolished to make way for a new store with a "more spacious layout" and "larger bakery".
A Lidl Ireland spokeswoman told Dublin Live that the new store will give customers "a more comfortable shopping experience".
She said: "Lidl Ireland is delighted to announce the re-opening of its store in Blakestown on Thursday, 17 February 2022. The pre-existing store was closed in August 2021 to allow for construction to begin on a new state-of-the-art store.
"When doors open, customers will be able to shop Lidl’s renowned range of high-quality products at market-leading value in a more spacious layout featuring high ceilings and wide aisles, glulam timber beams, and a larger bakery.
"The store will also incorporate some sustainability features such as solar panelling on the roof. This new look store will ensure a more comfortable shopping experience for Lidl customers."
