A new Lidl supermarket will be opening its doors in Liverpool for the first time next week.
The discount supermarket has now confirmed it will open the doors of its tenth Liverpool supermarket, on Childwall Valley Road in Belle Vale, this month. The opening ceremony will be attended by children from the nearby St Paschal Baylon Catholic primary school who will welcome the store's first customers with Christmas carols.
The doors will open on Thursday, December 8. A spokesperson for the massively popular discount supermarket said it was "fantastic" customers will be able to shop at the store in time for Christmas.

According to Lidl, 40 new jobs will be created for the local community, with new starters being paid the highest rate for that type of work in the UK. The modern store will also feature one of the supermarket's popular bakeries, as well as baby changing facilities in the customer toilets.
The store said ample parking for cars and bicycles will also be provided for customers, as will two electric car charging spaces.
Lidl's regional head of property, Stuart Jardine, said: "It’s fantastic that we’re able to open our doors and welcome members of the community into our new Belle Vale store in time for Christmas. This is our tenth store in the area, and along with our want to invest in Liverpool, it aligns with our commitment to ensure as many people as possible have access to our multi-award winning, high-quality products at affordable prices"
