Lidl has confirmed that a new Edinburgh store will be opening in August.
The budget retailer has revealed that its new shop in Corstorphine will officially open on Thursday, 18 August. The store will be situated in the former Currys PC World site on Glasgow Road, and will be open from 8am to 10pm seven days a week.
Lidl also announced that there would be 'exclusive offers' in the store during its opening week, such as deals and discounts on products.

These include an inflatable Whirlpool Pool Mspa for £199.99, a BBQ pizza oven for £19.99, a professional ice cream maker for £29.99 and a wooden playhouse for £74.99.
The new, modern supermarket will feature a 1,256m2 sales area, customer toilets with baby changing facilities, as well as Lidl’s much loved in-store bakery. The store car park has also been upgraded as part of the works.
Additionally, the opening will create 35 new jobs for the local community. It is part of the company’s ongoing £1.3bn expansion and regeneration plans across the UK.
Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property Gordon Rafferty commented: “It is very exciting to be expanding Lidl’s offering to the people of West Edinburgh and we would like to thank everyone who has played a part in making it a success.
We look forward to welcoming customers and offering them our range of award-winning products for great value prices.”
