Liam Payne treats fiancée Maya Henry to luxury Valentine's break to Costa Rica

Liam Payne spared no expense this Valentine's Day as he treated fiancée Maya Henry to a holiday at one of the world's most exclusive golf resorts.

The former One Direction singer, 28, jetted off on a 10,000 mile trip to Costa Rica with model Maya for the romantic holiday.

The pair checked into the luxurious Ocean Course after developing a passion for the sport.

The elusive resort boasts some fantastic holes and brings in a range of celebs to the course. It also has the unique experience of monkeys hanging from the trees around each hole.

A source told The Sun : "Liam has really fallen in love with the sport. He's the first to admit he's not the best player but to his credit he's putting in the hours. He'd [seen] the costal course online and was desperate to try it out.

"As he had a gap in his schedule and he and Maya flew out to Costa Rica."

Former party boy Liam, who shares son Bear with ex Cheryl, revealed recently that he has given up eating meat.

Liam said he made the move after being "deeply disturbed" by hit Netflix documentary Seaspiracy.

The dad-of-one added: “Sustainability, it’s something we all hear about very much these days.

"I have to admit I hadn’t given it as much thought as I should have. And then [on] Netflix, I watched Seaspiracy and was deeply disturbed.

“I mean it’s difficult to pick the truth out of any of these things these days because, you know, there’s so much news out there. You never know which one to listen to."
