Back in 2022, Liam Payne — the bloke who believed he was the face of 1D lmao — joined Logan Paul‘s Impaulsive podcast where he alleged that one of his bandmates “threw him up a wall” backstage at a concert.
“There was one moment where there was an argument backstage and one member in particular threw me up a wall,” Payne shared.
“I said to him ‘if you don’t remove those hands there’s a high likelihood you’ll never use them again’.”
Since then, the identity of the One Direction band member has been shrouded in mystery with speculating that the culprit was either Louis Tomlinson or Harry Styles.
However, it appears that the alleged identity of the member has been revealed.

To set the scene of the huge tea spill, a new trend is taking off on TikTok. Basically, punters will write in text “I lied. Put your clothes on. We’re going to discuss…” followed by an obscure or niche topic.
One TikToker who posts under bee! (@tiptoelou), chimed in on the trend asking to unpack Liam’s brutal allegation.
“You can’t convince me it wasn’t Louis SORRY,” she wrote in the caption.
Well, the universe universed. You ask you get answers, amirite?
Liam’s ex-fiancé Maya Henry — who reportedly dated the “Strip That Down” singer from 2018 up until 2022 — woke up and chose chaos by revealing the alleged 1D member who got physical with her former beau.
“OK I see this all the time everywhere. I’ve heard this insufferable story so many times,” she began.
“He told me it was Zayn [Malik].”
Following that gold nugget (and I MEAN gold nugget) of information, Directioners from all walks of life flocked to the comment section with two cents on the alleged beef that boiled into a legit tussle.
“Maya you did NOT just drop this lore on a random Saturday???!!!” one user wrote.
“Knew Zayn was my favorite for a reason ugh so proud,” another fan commented.
“Not insufferable stories,” Heartbreak High‘s Chloé Hayden added.
“‘I thought Louis I thought Harry’ the way we all knew it was absolutely not Niall [Horan],” another TikToker wrote.
So far, neither Liam nor Zayn have responded to the allegations. However, Maya clapped back at haters who had told her to keep Liam’s name out of her mouth in an eight-minute TikTok.
In the lengthy TikTok, Maya accused Liam of weaponising his fan base, contacting her on multiple phone numbers and iCloud accounts.
“You’re defending someone you don’t know,” she shared.
“I lived in a house with him for years. I’m pretty sure I can speak on my own experiences.”
The author also claimed that Liam attended his ex-bandmates’ concerts despite bagging them behind their backs.
“Also, talking shit about your bandmates and showing up to their concerts. But it’s always for your own benefit it’s not even because you wanna go support,” she spilled.
“You wanna go stand up there and take the attention away from anyone.”
Maya has since received an influx of support from both fans of her work and fellow Directioners.
Again, Liam has yet to respond to what Maya has claimed in her scathing TikTok. However, I feel like this won’t be the last time that Maya will speak out against her boyband ex.
This situation is definitely going in one direction, and I think it’s going into messy territory.
