Liam Hemsworth is unrecognisable in high school photo as heartthrob's teen look unearthed

Liam Hemsworth looks totally unrecognisable in his unearthed school photo.

He's from one of Hollywood's 'most attractive' families according to fans who can't believe how different he looked back in high school.

The Hunger Games star, now 32, smiled nervously in the archived picture resurfaced by the Celeb Spellcheck Instagram account.

Liam's all set to take over from Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia in the hit-Netflix fantasy series The Witcher, but over 15 years ago he was just a normal teen in Phillip Island, southeast of Melbourne.

He sported curly hair with freckles on his face as he posed in a smart open-neck shirt for the annual high school photograph.

Fans raced to the comment section, reacting to the unearthed snap.

One compared him to "the Prince Harry of Australia's royal family" while another said he could "double as most blokes' Tinder profile in 2022".

His look was a contrast from his usual A-list sharp look, however Liam only recently shocked fans with a new look after he debuted a bushy salt and pepper beard.

He looks completely different for a new role in his new film Poker Face. Australian streaming service Stan will be premiering the thriller this month, which was directed by Russell Crowe.

In the film's trailer, the heartthrob wore a sports jacket and casual trousers, while his usual fresh face was peppered with acne scarring and even his eyebrows had a hint of grey in them.

Liam stars alongside rapper RZA, Daniel MacPherson from Neighbours and Steve Bastoni.

The Aussie actor's sister-in-law Elsa Pataky, from the Fast and Furious franchise, and Jack Thompson, will also appear in the film.

The story follows the glamorous, yet risky, world of poker. This will be Russell's second movie as a director, following his award-winning The Water Diviner in 2014.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, he called the movie an "extreme project", adding that it came onto his radar "very fast".

"Rewriting and casting in a five week period while the city went into hard lockdown," he explained.

"Trying to manage resources and people without the usual ability to meet and talk frequently over many months as you normally would do in pre-production on a film certainly put unusual pressures in place," he continued.
