Liam Gallagher was offered a VERY unnerving housewarming gift by Noel Edmonds

Liam Gallagher has told how Noel Edmonds offered him a lifesize doll when he bought his house in France.

In March the former Oasis frontman paid around £4 million for the six-bedroom French Chateau after the Deal or No Deal presenter put the 18th century property on the market.

Recalling the incident on Radio 2, Liam said: “Last thing I spent money on? Probably the house in France.

“It used to be Noel Edmonds’ house. He had some blow-up doll called Sandra that he used to drive around - remember when all these celebrities bought taxis because they could go in the bus lane?

“He got one, but he used to put some blow-up doll there dressed up. Anyway he wanted to know did I want it with the house.

“I was like ‘get it out - it’s freaking me out man’. No.”

Liam uses the villa in Grasse, near Cannes, for family holidays but unsurprisingly has not offered to let his brother Noel stay there.

DJ Jo Whiley asked Liam why his and Noel’s band Oasis broke up and he said: “It was going too well for him and he wanted to be a solo star, that’s the way I see it.

“You don’t split bands up like that - it’s a big thing.

“If he wanted to go do a solo career, I’d have quite happily had two years off, you know what I mean?

“So he just plugged the plug and I think that’s snide. I’ve still got the hump with it as he threw his younger brother under the bus.”

But despite the bad blood between the brothers, frontman Liam, 50, insisted that an Oasis reunion was still possible.

He said: “I’m a reasonable person. I’m very good friends with the Universe and we have ways of making it happen as it will come round to him calling me.

“That is it. I think it [an Oasis reunion] will happen.”
