Liam Gallagher vows to dedicate song at Glasgow Hampden gig to tragic Oasis-daft fan

Liam Gallagher has vowed to dedicate a song at his huge Hampden Park show tonight to an Oasis-daft dad who tragically passed away.

The singer has confirmed that he will belt out Champagne Supernova in memory of Ayrshire man James McGarrie, known as Mij, who took his own life aged just 32 in 2019.

James had booked tickets to see his hero with his partner Suzann at the Hydro in Glasgow just months before his tragic death, Ayrshire Live reports.

James' sister Christine, 38, will head to Hampden tonight with Suzann, the mother to his son Travis. The pair will wave a special Union Jack flag with “Love for Mij” written across it.

After creating a moving TikTok video asking Liam to pay tribute to her mega-fan brother and tweeting it to him to try and get his attention, the rockstar said he would do just that.

He tweeted: "Champagne Supernova for Mij Sunday Glasgow c’mon you know LG x.”

Suzann then tweeted back hailing Liam a 'legend'.

Liam will take to the stage tonight in front of thousands with Leicester rockers Kasabian and Goat Girl in support.
