Liam Gallagher has vowed to dedicate a song to a beloved Ayr dad after a heartfelt request video request was sent to him.
The former Oasis frontman announced he would belt out Champagne Supernova in memory of James McGarrie known as Mij, who took his own life in 2019.
The rockstar’s tweet came just after Ayrshire Live told how sister Christine McGarrie created a moving Tik Tok video asking the iconic singer to pay tribute in honour of her mega-fan brother.
The iconic Live Forever singer tweeted: “Champagne Supernova for Mij Sunday Glasgow c’mon you know LG x.”
Suzann McKenzie James’s ex-partner and mother to his son Travis tweeted back hailing Liam a legend.
Suzann had joined Christine in pleading to the star ahead of huge gig at Hampden on Sunday.
The pair are heading to the national stadium and have created a unique flag with will have “Love for Mij” attached to it.
Earlier we told how Oasis-daft James has lyrics to the Manchester band’s B-side hit Stay Young written on his grave at the crisis hit Ayr Cemetery.
The popular tune was also played at his funeral and was used as the backing to the emotional Tik Tok video.
Suzann previously told Ayrshire Live how she had been trying to get Liam’s attention with tweets with the Tik Tok video released last night.
