Liam Gallagher says Dec Donnelly would play Noel in a film about Oasis

The choice of who will play the Gallagher brothers in the upcoming Oasis film is a hotly anticipated casting announcement.

And it seems Liam Gallagher, 47, has got some ideas about who should play him and his brother Noel, 52.

He was asked about the decision in a recent interview with Vogue magazine and while he wasn't sure about the actor for him, he thought Noel should be played by Dec Donnelly.

And the reason he chose Dec and not Ant McPartlin was because he is the shorter one.

Explaining his choice, Liam said: "The little fella out of Ant and Dec, is it Dec?"

But he didn't put much thought into casing himself.

He added: "I'm easy man, I've only got the haircut and the chat and that and I'm down with anyone."

During the interview Liam also spoke about his heyday in the 90s and reminisced about a time before smartphones.

He said: "My favourite thing about the 90s was there was no camera phones and people were just living in the moment."

And he even offered his advice for hangover cures, suggesting hair of the dog.

Liam added: "Go straight back to the pub. No messing about, lager.

"Don't sit and dwell on hangovers just go straiht back again and it'll work itself out."

Noel and Liam's feud is notorious, but he recently said he'd be willing to forgive his big brother.

Liam admitted he would be inviting Noel to his wedding but he's not convinced he'll turn up.
