He might have been expelled from school, but at least Liam Gallagher’s son Gene has his rock star dad’s good looks to fall back on.
I can reveal that the 18-year-old offspring of Liam and All Saints singer Nicole Appleton did his first-ever modelling job on Thursday – for Adidas Spezial winter collection.
He follows in the footsteps of his brother Lennon, 19, who has become a huge hit in the fashion industry.
My source reveals: “Liam has been encouraging his children to follow their dreams, and all of them have been snapped up by fashion brands.
“It was a bit stressful when Gene got expelled, but then Adidas got in touch, and love working with him.”
Gene recently admitted that getting expelled was “nothing to be proud of”.
And his dad revealed how Gene was expelled for lack of interest in his studies, explaining: “I was a bit gutted, but then he wanted out. So it was best for everyone.
“But you can’t sit at home now forever, you’ve got to go and do something, whether that’s out labouring or being in a band or modelling or whatever.”
Lennon, Patsy Kensit’s son, has been modelling for Hermes and Topshop.
And big sister Molly Moorish, 21, Liam’s daughter with Lisa Moorish, is also a model.
She was recently reunited with her dad after 20 years of no contact.
Liam has just unveiled his new single, Once, which he calls “one of my best songs”.
Gene says of growing up in his famous dad’s shadow: “Everyone casts their own shadow. You’ve just got to find out which way to face the sun.”
Looks like it’s already shining on him.
