Liam Gallagher cuts gig short and cancels show after falling ill mid-performance

Liam Gallagher says he was left disappointed to have to cut a gig short after falling ill. The Manchester rocker has taken to Twitter to address fans after reportedly leaving 30 minutes into his set at Festival Bureaugard in France on Friday night (July 8).

The 49-year-old singer has apologised to festival goers after walking off mid-set while performing the Oasis hit Stand By Me. The star threw down his maracas and tambourine before walking off stage.

The star has now explained that he has been diagnosed with laryngitis - inflammation of the voice box - and is on doctor's orders to rest. His show in Cognac tomorrow night has been cancelled as a result.
