Sean McVay is certainly proud to see Liam Coen get his first head coaching opportunity in the NFL after being hired by the Jacksonville Jaguars, but that could cause him to lose some of his own assistant coaches.
Coen and the Jaguars have already shown interest in Aubrey Pleasant for their defensive coordinator position, and now they’re eyeing Rams assistant Nate Scheelhaase for their offensive coordinator opening.
The Jaguars announced they interviewed Scheelhaase on Tuesday night, making him the latest candidate on Jacksonville’s radar.
Scheelhaase, 34, just finished his first season as an NFL coach, working as an offensive assistant and pass game specialist under McVay. He previously spent time at Illinois and Iowa State.

In addition to the Jaguars, the Buccaneers have also interviewed Scheelhaase for their offensive coordinator position, which Coen held last season.
