Liam Coen is in the process of building out his first staff as an NFL head coach and he’s using his ties to the Los Angeles Rams to do so. Not only has he interviewed Nate Scheelhaase and Aubrey Pleasant for his coordinator positions, but he’s now eyeing Zak Kromer as his offensive line coach.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Jaguars are interviewing Kromer for the position. Currently, Kromer is the Rams’ assistant offensive line coach, so this would be a promotion for him; the Rams, therefore, cannot block the interview.
Kromer has spent the last eight years with the team and is the son of former Rams offensive line coach Aaron Kromer, who was with Los Angeles for one year in 2017. Aaron Kromer is now the Bills offensive line coach.
