Rebeca Tavares was in disbelief as Liverpool FC's Champions League final opponents were confirmed last night.
The Reds were set to take on either Manchester City or Real Madrid at UEFA's showpiece final at the Stade de France on May 28. It looked certain LFC were going to lock horns with their domestic rivals as Manchester City had a 5 - 3 aggregate lead in the 90th minute.
However, the La Liga giants produced a stunning recovery as an injury time brace from Rodyrgo took the game to extra time. The incredible turnaround was completed when Karim Benzema converted a penalty in extra time to book Real Madrid's spot in Paris.

Fabinho's wife eagerly followed the tense clash to see who the Reds would face off against later this month. Rebeca tweeted a flushed face emoji as the dramatic events unfolded and gushed after the final whistle brought the pulsating encounter to an end.
She said: "I love football." The Reds sealed their place in UEFA's showpiece event when they defeated Villarreal on Tuesday.
Rebeca's husband was on the scoresheet as Jurgen Klopp's side produced an outstanding comeback to beat the Yellow Submarine 3 - 2 in a dramatic second leg at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
