Lexington man arrested for alleged threats against a local rabbi and a Jewish student center

A Lexington man has been arrested for making threats to a local religious leader as well as comments aimed at the Chabad Jewish Student Center.

Late last week a Lexington rabbi contacted detectives in the personal crimes section regarding harassing communications received over several days. The local religious leader said the messages contained hate speech and threats pertaining to the Jewish faith. Detectives were then able to identify and locate the suspect. 58-year-old Sendil Nathan has been charged with second-degree terroristic threatening. Nathan is currently being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
