The virtual door is now open for applicants to participate in Lexington’s new infrastructure fund.
The invite from Mayor Linda Gorton’s office goes to developers planning infill or privately funded re-development projects. The mayor says the fund provides no-interest loans of up to $500,000 for public infrastructure tied to projects that bolster long-term job creation. Gorton adds the aim is to provide developers with an incentive to do in-fill projects, rather than developing green fields. The $3 million infrastructure fund is contained in the current city budget.
