Lewis Hamilton might be best known for be a world champion racing car driver – but he would rather prospective dates think he is an astronaut.
The 37-year-old Formula One ace has racked up an astronomical amount of awards, wins and medals over the course of his professional racing career.
But according to reports, singletons who stumble across his profile on the celebrity dating app Raya will be surprised to see him claiming to have an entirely different career to the one he is known for.
Those looking for love will find Lewis pretending to be an astronaut while he is swiping left and right while on the look out for love on the exclusive dating app.
The star is back online and hoping to find the woman from his dreams after he split up with a model named Camila Kendra.
According to The Sun, the sporting star is moonlighting as someone who blasts into space, with a source claiming: “Lewis describes himself as an astronaut on his profile.
"He has Big Sean’s song Mercy playing alongside a montage of some of his best selfies and modelling snaps.
“The app verifies users by linking through to their official Instagram account, so anyone using Raya will know it’s Lewis and not a catfish. He will have women queuing up for a date.”
The Sun’s report also claims that Lewis’ Raya account was first formed four years ago but he deactivated it once he found love with Camila.
But now he is back on the shelf, the speed demon is said to have his dating page “revved back up” and he is raring to swipe left and right in search of that perfect date.
And the report states that the professional driver is “active” on the dating platform – but his past success with his career has seemingly derailed previous romances.
The star lamented the fact that his F1 success often got in the way of his love life as he would jet off around the world to compete in the high-adrenalin sport.
He previously said of the delicate balancing act required to make a relationship work during the F1 season: “You are just away for crazy amounts of time.
“So that’s probably an additional weight that makes it really, really tough to hold down a good relationship, and if things aren’t quite perfect.”
Lewis has dated a string of beautiful women over the years including Kendall Jenner, Winnie Harlow and Rita Ora.
While his most successful romance was with Nicole Scherzinger – however this collapsed in 2015 following eight years of dating.
