Lewis Hamilton leaves New York club with two mystery women ahead of Miami GP

A record-breaking eighth Formula 1 title looks likely to elude Lewis Hamilton this season, so it's only fair the Mercedes star is able to let his hair down after a difficult start to 2022.

Hamilton, 37, sits seventh in the standings after collecting just 28 points from four races thus far. He'll hope to improve that ratio on Sunday when he lines up for the inaugural edition of the Miami Grand Prix.

But the Silver Arrows veteran made a pitstop in New York as part of his sojourn to the United States, where he was pictured partying on Tuesday. The Sun reported Hamilton left the venue, Cipriani, ahead of two mystery women before the trio climbed into the same car.

The female duo beamed as they exited the club, one wearing an oversized green blazer while the other sported brown leather trousers and a white corset. Both were busy texting on their phones as they made their way away from Cipriani.

The late night wasn't enough to keep Hamilton from making his tee time alongside NFL legend Tom Brady the next day, however. The pair of sporting icons teamed up for a charity event at Miami Beach Golf Club, hoping to raise money for the city's underprivileged children.

"The youth is everything and something I am passionate about is getting children into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects," Hamilton said at the event. "Sport brings people together and it saved my life. I am glad we are doing something for good."

Some may consider Hamilton's jaunt in the Big Apple as undeserved considering how he's underperformed so far this season. Red Bull 's Max Verstappen pipped him to last year's championship at the season finale in Abu Dhabi, but the Mercedes man has looked miles off the pace at times in 2022.

New team-mate George Russell has appeared the superior specimen as he sits fourth in the standings. Mercedes' W13 design has struggled more than most title-challenging peers with the 'porpoising' effect, but even then Hamilton's results have been sub-par.

With so much pressure to produce consistent results, a more relaxed approach may well be the key to Hamilton rediscovering his best self. And the F1 superstar may have two people in particular to thank if he's able to show improvement in Florida this weekend.
