Unlikely star Lewis Capaldi has unknowingly weighed in superstar Taylor Swift and The 1975’s Matty Healy’s rumoured romance.
Matt, 34, is said to be romancing the Bad Blood star, 33, and was recently seen supporting the songstress at her tour dates in Nashville.
As fans continue to speculate on the unlikely romance, singer Lewis Capaldi has given his take on what Taylor can expect from Matt.
In an interview published in April, a week before the end of Taylor’s six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn was announced, the Scottish singer-songwriter compared Matt to Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
He gave his verdict on the fellow musician while recounting a drunken night out which resulted in Facetime calls to Ed Sheeran, Chris and Matt Healy.
He told The Sunday Times: "I FaceTimed Chris Martin, I think to ask if he wanted to come to an after-party. Thank God he didn’t reply."
Explaining that he'd only met the icon once, he said Chris responded with a "lovely note' checking he was OK".
Lewis continued: “I also FaceTimed Matt Healy that night. Not so bad. Matty’s more... normal? Oh no, I wouldn’t say that. He’s maybe more up for a laugh. I mean, not that Chris isn’t."
Matty’s relationship with pop star Taylor was reported this week, soon after her split from boyfriend of six years Joe Alwin was announced.
It is reported the actor "struggled with Taylor's level of fame and the attention from the public", which is why they parted ways.
But Matt was seen swooning as he watched his rumoured girlfriend at one of her concerts recently.
The singer was in the VIP area with Taylor's friend Gigi Hadid on Saturday night when he put his hand to his chest and smiled up at the sky with his eyes closed, during the star's Nashville gig.
It's been widely reported Matt and Taylor are "madly in love", with past reports saying they would step out together in Nashville - which has proved to be true.
