Lewis Capaldi thanks fans for their support and admits he wasn't sure anyone would listen to his new music

Lewis Capaldi has thanked fans for their support with a cheeky topless picture on Instagram, telling them “it’s good to be back.”

The Whitburn star said it was the “first two months back after three years away” and admitted releasing new music after so long had been “nerve wracking.”

He said he still didn’t know if he could still write good tunes or if anyone would even listen.

But the Forget Me star need not have worried as he said is “honestly speechless” a the reception he’s had from fans.

He took to Instagram to say: “To have had Forget Me go straight to number one in the chart and have sold out area shows all over the world, even bigger venues than last time, I’m honestly speechless.

“Wanted to thanks every single one of you for making this possible.”

“Doing this day in day out has always been my only real dream so to get to do it all over again means more than you’ll ever know.

“Can’t wait for you to hear more of the album over the next few months and to literally see so many of you on tour next year.”
