Lewis Capaldi stops for pictures with fans at curry house before concert

West Lothian legend, Lewis Capaldi, stunned fans as he went for a bite to eat with his large entourage before a concert.

The crooner was spotted with around two hours and 20 minutes before he took to the stage and was spotted at a popular curry house.

Fans say that they saw the singer show up in three ‘flash’ Mercedes carriers that were parked outside the restaurant whilst he and his friends tucked into a group meal.

The Scottish star had time for his fans as he sat down to dine at the Aroma restaurant in Solihull, West Midlands, Birmingham Live reports.

Derek Warren spotted him at around 8:00pm - he said: "[It's] not every day you come across the global pop star Lewis Capaldi at the local curry house."

Derek added that Capaldi had also stopped for pictures with fans after turning up with a large party. "It was last night at 8pm," he said. "I’m guessing by the three flash [Mercedes] people carriers and drivers parked outside [that] he and his friends took over the restaurant for the night.

"He was happy when people asked him for a picture. It was nice to see."

The Bathgate banter merchant was performing in Birmingham on the evening of November 12 alongside a host of other pop acts at the Free Radio Hits Live at the Resorts World Arena.

The huge line-up included Blue, Craig David, Dermot Kennedy, Ella Henderson, Ellie Goulding, Nathan Dawe and Sam Ryder.

Capaldi paid tribute to the iconic city establishment Mr Egg as he performed after being gifted a t-shirt by show organisers. He also left a fan staggered when he "serenaded" her boyfriend after telling him: "Hey, you look like me."

Blue kicked off the show, performing hits like All Rise, Fly By and One Love. In a clip posted by Free Radio, Sam Thompson and Sam Ryder could be seen "throwing some shapes" at the side of the stage.

Audiences took to social media once the show had finished to express their delight. And some even said they were "in tears".
