Lewis Capaldi shares sweet throwback school snap and fans are in stitches at his style

Lewis Capaldi has shared a throwback of himself in primary school and left his fans in fits of laughter.

The Forget Me singer took to social media to share a picture of an old newspaper clipping, where a young Lewis is being recognised for his 100% attendance record while he was a pupil at St Joseph's in Whitburn.

Lewis was one of three children in West Lothian who were given certificates for their perfect attendance at the time - proving he was showing signs of something special early on. The star was sporting a long hair cut, his primary school uniform and was joined by a local councillor to receive his award.

Sharing the picture of himself with his certificate and the other children, Lewis wrote in his typical tongue-in-cheek manner: "That’s the difference between me and you. Cause while you were sitting around waiting, doing nish. I was out making moves. #NoDaysOff."

And many fans were left in stitches at the singer's sense of style as a youngster, particularly as he showed off his watch in the snap. One wrote: "Capaldi making sure the time piece is in from an early age."

Another wrote: "It’s nice to see you’ve kept the same haircut all these years."

While one penned: "You have not changed even a bit since that picture and I respect it." Another said: "And we love the moves you're making." While one added: "not you collecting awards since the 2000s."

The 26-year-old has been busy recently working on his new album and playing gigs across Europe. Last week, the Scots singing sensation was performing in Switzerland at a sold out festival performance.

Lewis also posed with delighted fans after the show showing off his Celtic FC clobber. He was supported by Eurovision star Sam Ryder, who shared some behind the scenes footage of the soundcheck for the show at the Baloise Session Festival.

Lewis took to Instagram to thank the festival for having him. He wrote: "Switzerland! Thanks v much for having me and for coming down to the sold out @baloisesession shows! Coming back for my biggest headline show in March and tickets are v close to selling out which is mad."
