Lewis Capaldi's trailer for his highly-anticipated Netflix documentary dropped on Thursday afternoon, gearing fans up with excitement for its release next month.
The footage left fans in tears at the chill-tingling snippet of the many hundreds of concerts over the years since the Scots singer rose to fame after becoming an overnight sensation in 2018.
But the trailer took a sharp turn as we saw a behind-the-scenes clip of Lewis, who suffers from anxiety and tourettes, looking overwhelmed from the growing fame he has built up across the globe.
"I think I have never been more insecure in my life than I am now, and I think that's got worse the more success I got," the 26-year-old explained in the touching trailer as he spoke of the "tensions" that the music industry brings.
In the clip, we got to see a raw and honest account of how difficult his journey has been so far as he admitted almost every gig was difficult as his anxiety became "out of control.."
"I feel like I am in a race against the clock to get my mental health in order, other people are depending on me to get better and I know that I can" added the Scottish hitmaker.
Fans are used to seeing funnyman Lewis making his jokes and laughing constantly, but the candid clip really hit home with his fans.
"I didn’t think a Netflix trailer would make me cry but f*****g @LewisCapaldi Netflix trailer did im so glad we have someone like him in our life’s," said one fan.
Another wrote: "I hope your doing better now Lewis. Just know so many people love you and your music. You are such an inspiration and we would want you to take all the time in the world."
A third penned: "Lewis Capaldi is one magnificent storyteller. It's amazing to see how far he's come along. We wish him all the best for what's to come in his career and personal life."
We previously reported how the Pointless singer teased fans with what to expect in the new show from the streaming giant when he made a hilarious comparison to Prince Harry's bombshell memoir Spare.
Despite Netflix announcing it would be an "all-access documentary" Lewis was seemingly amused at reports of his new show being a "tell-all" as he used the opportunity to compare his latest venture to the recent moves of Prince Harry.
It comes as the Duke of Sussex was at the end of bitter controversy over his bombshell Netflix 'tell-all' docuseries, and controversial memoir Spare, which delved into the spats he and his wife Meghan have had with the monarchy.
Some fans were speculating what exactly could be 'revealed' in his new show in partnership with the streaming giant as they said "I’m just tryina figure out who hurt my man Lewis Capaldi. Gon scrap."
Directed by BAFTA winner Joe Pearlman, the all-access film was four years in the making and sees Lewis at a pivotal moment in his career. It's billed as having "the story of a young artist, returning to his roots after achieving unbelievable global success, attempting to reconnect with his old life and the family and friends he left behind".
Speaking about the new release, Lewis told fans he is nervous but proud of the show. He said: “I’m pretty terrified for people to see this documentary if I’m quite honest, but I’m also really proud of it. I hope you enjoy it.”
The documentary drops ahead of his highly anticipated second album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, which will be released on May 19.
The raw and honest feature-length music documentary 'How I'm Feeling Now' in partnership with Netflix, BMG and Pulse Films will be released globally on Netflix on April 5.
