Lewis Capaldi’s intimate ‘Behind The Music’ shows went on sale this morning at 10am but sold out in a matter of seconds.
The Scots singing sensation will take part in the live events in partnership with independent record stores across the country, to coincide with the release of his new album ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’.
Following the huge popularity of the events, Lewis added a second show at each venue and has thanked his fans for their incredible response in an Instagram post, in which he also hinted at more ’secret bits’ to be announced soon.
He wrote: "You sold them all out like as I refreshed the page at 10am on the dot. very very surreal. Thank you so much who managed to get a ticket for these."
Announcing the news initially, Lewis said the intimate gigs were going to help a great cause. Telling his fans on social media, he said: "UK pals! am SO excited to announce my smallest shows since 2017!!!! going to be doing a Q&A about the new album and singing a few tunes acoustically at some really small venues during album release week!!!!! is all supporting local record stores, tickets will be around £20 and include a copy of the album supporting your local record store!!! it all goes on sale this friday at 10AM at lewiscapaldi.com x."
The dates for the intimate gigs are:
- Friday, May 19 - Kingston - Pryzm, with Banquest Records - 5pm & 7pm
- Saturday, May 20 - Dundee - Fat Sam’s, with Assai Records -2.45pm & 5pm
- Sunday, May 21 - Glasgow - SWG3, with Assai Records - 6.30pm & 9pm
- Monday, May 22 - Nottingham - The Level, with Rough Trade - 6pm & 9pm
- Wednesday, May 24 - Bristol - Marble Factory, with Rough Trade - 6pm & 9pm
