Tickets for Lewis Capaldi’s intimate Bristol gig sold out in minutes. With the upcoming release of his new album, 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’, Capaldi announced he would be holding five intimate gigs in partnership with independent record stores across the country.
Ticket release was this morning and many Bristol fans were hoping to get their hands on tickets to see the singer at the Marble Factory on May 24.
While there was a temporary problem, as the website crashed, tickets for the shows were gone in the space of five minutes. Capaldi added extra shows for the same locations, just earlier in the day, which sold out in a matter of seconds

One lucky person on Twitter, who got Bristol tickets, said: "Buzzing to actually get tickets!!"
While another not so lucky Bristolian fan, shared her sadness on Twitter. She said: "Site crashed. This would of been the only time I could of seen him due to anxiety I can’t with crowded and travelling far so when he was down the road from me and smaller venue I was so excited, PLEASE COMEBACK TO BRISTOL SOON, so gutted I couldn’t get a ticket."
Bristol's gig is at the Marble Factory near Bristol Temple Meads. It was always expected for the tickets to sell out so quickly but even Capaldi appeared shocked at how quickly they sold out. On his Instagram story, with a screenshot of the sold out gigs on his website, he said: “You sold them all out, like as I refreshed the page at 10am on the dot, very very surreal. Thank you so much to everyone who managed to get a ticket.”
Further down the post he shared his commiserations with fans who couldn’t get a ticket and shared how he wished he could’ve done more dates. Lewis said: “Wish I could do more of these in other places but don’t have any free dates at all! Have a couple of other secret bits I haven’t announced yet, news coming v v v soon! X.”
While tickets may have sold out almost instantly, hopefully some point in the future the singer will return to Bristol for another live performance and it seems there is more to come from fan favourite Lewis Capaldi this year. Keep your eyes peeled for what he has in store.
