Lewis Capaldi turned up backstage unannounced at TRNSMT festival on Friday at 7pm. The Someone You Loved hitmaker whose much anticipated set is on Sunday wore a blue denim jacket and jeans as he popped into the artists area just in time to see Sam Fender and Paolo Nutin i’s sets.
Lewis had arrived aboard a private jet from his holiday in Rhodes with his friends earlier today and laughed and joked with pals as he made his way from his blacked out people carrier to talk to Paolo ahead of his set.
It’s the first time in eight years that Paolo will be performing in Glasgow and management were busy ensuring he was comfortable backstage ahead of his headline set.
His management were also seen chaperoning little Jay Beattie into the arena. Jay is a supporter and official mascot of Celtic Football Club and as a superfan and received support and recognition from other football clubs and their fans.
It’s thought Jay was going to be Paolo’s good luck mascot ahead of his comeback gig.
