Lewis Capaldi hits Brits parties with Sam Fender - and smooches Catfish UK host Oobah Butler

Lewis Capaldi has been pictured lapping up the atmosphere of The Brits after parties.

The Scots singer was out with his pal Sam Fender and Catfish UK star Oobah Butler.

Lewis kept a low profile during this year's ceremony after managing to shock last year with his speech for British Album of the year, which he presented to Dua Lipa.

The Someone You Loved hitmaker also managed to turn the air blue last year as he hopped on stage with a bottle of Buckfast to keep him company.

This year Lewis, who didn't qualify for an award because he hadn't released any new music, decided to enjoy himself at the after parties.

He joined his pal Sam Fender and others for some drinks at the Four Quarters bar in Peckham, where a host of celebrities partied into the early hours after leaving the annual awards ceremony.

Lewis, who will soon release a follow-up to 2019 debut Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, joined others including Olivia Rodrigo, Mollie King and Ellie Rowsell at the after bash.

In one playful picture with Catfish UK presenter Oobah Butler, he even got a cheeky snog,

Oobah, who said he is often mistaken for the star in a real life Catfish scenario, said: "For years, my enemies have conspired against me saying Lewis Capaldi and I are the same person. He heard the same. Now.

"HERE is government proof of the contrary. I hope you enjoy your humiliation. Viva La revolution."

In another picture posted by Ben Hemsley, Lewis kissed the awards trophy as he is photographed alongside Sam and Ben.

Ben wrote later: "Mad story… when I was in school with Sam who was 2 years above me, I was in a band and we were gunna enter the school X factor.

"My band mates found out Sam was entering and decided to quit the band coz they knew he’d win.

"I was still wanting to make music somehow, not long after my brother introduced me to Tiesto and all my life I’d loved trance coz it’s all my mam would play…

"So I switched to dance tunes, which might not have happened if it wasn’t for Sam being so wicked in school.

"Anyways, last night, I got invited me to DJ the Brits after party for him and I’m so proud man, from winning the school X factor to brits and being the soundest, well done to yas all."
