Lewis Capaldi fans have been given a travel warning from the Utilita Arena ahead of the singer’s show in Newcastle on Saturday night
The Scottish Brit winner is arriving on Tyneside on his latest tour, having already wowed packed fans across the country and just as new single Pointless has climbed to number 1.
Lewis, the artist famous for massive hits like Someone You Loved and Hold Me While You Wait arrived in the North East a day ahead of his sold out gig at the arena and quickly sampled his surroundings and some local grub, when he enjoyed a fish and chip tea at The Waterfront in North Shields on Friday night, much to the delight of restaurant staff.

A full house with be at the Utilita Arena to see Lewis deliver a setlist which is also set to include his 2022 comeback single Forget Me.
And those heading to the gig might want to allow extra time to get to the arena.
The Redheugh Bridge into town is always busy when there is anything on at the venue, but could see even more traffic on Saturday due to ongoing works.
It read “Essential Gasworks are taking place on Redheugh Bridge Road. Please be careful when passing via the works and plan your journey ahead of time. We highly recommend arriving to as close to 6pm to ensure you are in the venue for show start.
The post added: “There are essential improvement works happening with the metro. Please visit the Nexus website to see how it effects your journey.”
