After announcing his UK and Europe tour last week, presale tickets for Lewis Capaldi’s Glasgow date next year have been snapped up quickly.
Fans of the singer have been waiting since 2019 for a new album, with Lewis set to hit Glasgow on January 24 next year. While general sale is set to go live tomorrow (October 28), presale tickets were released yesterday (October 26) and reportedly didn’t take long to sell out.
The Forget Me singer, who hails from West Lothian, spent some time teasing his fans before the tour was announced - which clearly did the job. He tweeted on October 18: “New album and tour anyone?”

With the tweet quickly going viral, it’s no surprise that demand for tickets has been so high. His upcoming album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, is set for release on May 19, 2023.
While the album is still available for preorder, tickets for the Glasgow date are few and far between. Many fans took to social media to beg Lewis to add another date for the city, informing him of the supposed ‘gaps’ in his schedule where he could slot us in.
One Twitter used said: “These Lewis Capaldi tickets are like gold dust. Hoping your going to putting in the 25th in Glasgow with that wee gap ye have my man.”
Another added: “Pls pls release another Glasgow date, I will actually cry if I don’t get general sale tickets tomorrow.”
While it is possible that another Glasgow concert will be added to the schedule, nothing has been said from Lewis as of yet.
Another Capaldi fan said: “11,000 odd people in the presale queue for OVO Hydro this morning and 9,000 yesterday.
“Absolute madness, think you could sell out a second date in Glasgow. Unfortunately still not managed to get tickets.”
In agreement, another said: “Come on Lewis, we need another date for Glasgow. That’s five different pre-sales I’ve tried and not one ticket.
"How do we get tickets? Literally milliseconds in and your 8119th in the queue.”
Despite the frustration from several Glaswegians, many were successful in snapping up the presale tickets. One Twitter user said: “We got two tickets for a great price this morning. See you in Glasgow, so excited.”
Another added: “Tickets bought for the wife’s 50th birthday Mr Capaldi for Glasgow Hydro. She gets to listen to your music and get a pint, keep up the brilliant music wee chap.”
General sale tickets can be purchased here, if you’re lucky.
