Lewis Capaldi fan reckons she's rumbled singer's song-writing pseudonym as 'Anita Jobby'

Lewis Capaldi has allegedly had his secret song-writing pseudonym rumbled as 'Anita Jobby' after one fan launched a detailed investigation.

TikToker Kimbo shared a video claiming that the Someone You Loved singer was a co-writer on Kygo's new song with Dean Lewis titled 'Never Really Loved Me'. However, the user notices that Lewis' name isn't on the song-writing credits, but there is a credit for someone called Anita Jobby.

So far, Kimbo's video has been viewed over 111.2k times as fans are absolutely loving this hilarious revelation. Capaldi, who has previously written hits for Rita Ora, is gearing up to launch his second album and is teasing a mysterious update for followers later this week.

Fans took to the comments of the video, sharing their appreciation for the 25-year-old's alleged alias. One wrote: "thats the most on brand thing Lewis capaldi has ever done", as another penned: "Lewis is always going to be top tier humour"

A third commented: "Hahaha quality! But then again I wouldn’t expect any less from @lewiscapaldi," alongside a string of laughing face emojis. Another said: "I love that man he's endlessly giving us entertainment"

The Daily Record has contacted Lewis's representatives for comment.

If true, this wouldn't be the first time that the Before You Go hitmaker used the alias Anita Jobby in order to disguise himself. During a 2019 concert in Copenhagen, the West Lothian superstar revealed the two pseudonyms he gave to drivers meeting him at Copenhagen airport.

Using fake-names is common for celebrities who want to get by undetected, and Capaldi's chosen alias's were ‘Anita Jobby’ and ‘Sooka Phatwan’.

Bathgate-born Capaldi teased fans with a reaction to his "new single" on social media on Wednesday. On TikTok, he shared a video which supposedly captured a response to a new single from his latest album.

The caption for the video stated: "Can't believe I left my phone on record by accident and managed to catch this moment!! Hearing my NEW SONG for the first time."

Capaldi, speaking with his manager, asked: "So this is the master for my first single?" A man responded: "Yeah this is the finished one. So give it a listen and make sure you're happy with it."

Looking nervous, Capaldi sighs deeply as he hits play on his computer, leaning back and covering his mouth with his hands in anticipation. However, instead of the ballads fans love from the Scottish crooner, a very different sound fills the screen.

While a soulful piano begins to play, it is quickly accompanied by over the top fart noises, a man sobbing and babies screaming - all while Capaldi smiles on proudly.
