Lewis Capaldi has revealed what he’s looking for in a new girlfriend after admitting that he is currently single.
The Scottish singer’s latest single Forget Me is currently sitting at the top of the UK music charts.
The track marks his first new music in three years and should serve as some recompense to him after admitting that it was inspired by his feelings of anguish about an ex seeming able to move on better from their relationship than him.
Now open to finding someone new, the 25-year-old spoke about what list of qualities would be needed in a new partner.
“I would say good sense of humour, low standards, not too worried about the size of certain things, a small lady with small hands” he joked while speaking to Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott on Friday’s Magic Radio Breakfast.
“I was in a relationship with a lady, we had been in a relationship, and it had been about a year later since I wrote this song, so she seemed to be in a much happier position than I was, and I didn’t like that.
“In fact, I can say this, I hated it. I wanted her to be miserable, so I wrote this song about it.”
For those who can’t get enough of the ginger star, he has confirmed that his second album and follow-up to debut Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, is complete.
And surprisingly, it features no collaborations given he has struck up friendships with a number of musicians following his rise to fame, including Sir Elton John and Niall Horan.
He said: “The album is finished, I don’t know when it’s coming out and the title is longer than the first one and the first one was long.”
