Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi is in Cardiff Castle this week as the latest round of open-air music shows hit the Welsh capital. The city centre venue has already seen A-ha, Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra, Bryan Adams and many more perform already this summer and Primal Scream are also scheduled to play there, too.
Both Primal Scream and Capaldi were due to perform at Alexandra Head in Cardiff Bay but the shows were changed to Cardiff Castle earlier in the spring. The important thing to note is that Lewis Capaldi's gig date was also altered. He was due to perform on Wednesday, July 20 but is now performing on Thursday, July 21.

Who is the support act?
Opening for Lewis is Eurovision singer, Sam Ryder, who came second with the hit Space Man, which was co-written with Welsh-based writer, Amy Wadge.
Singer/songwriter Emie Nathan is also on the bill.

Banned items
Organisers ask gig-goers to only take bags less than A4 size.
Other items not allowed in the Castle are:
- Food & drink
- Umbrellas, parasols etc
- Seats and chairs
- Air horns
- Selfie sticks
- Spray cans
- Chinese lanterns
- Dangerous or hazardous weapons/items
- Firework
- Flags
- Gas canisters
- Glass (of any kind)
- Klaxons and other similar items capable of making loud noise
- Laser pens, scooters, skateboards and bicycles
Will there be road closures?
As with previous Cardiff Castle gigs, traffic will be managed on Castle Street to ensure gig-goers can leave the venue safely.
Where to park
There are several council-owned car parks which cater for 24-hour parking. A few examples include Sophia Gardens Car Park, which charges 24 hours a day and costs up to £17.60 for the full day. Castle Mews Car Park which charges between 8am and 8pm Monday – Saturday and costs up to £6.10 for five hours, and North Road Car Park, which costs £8.80 for a full day (until midnight that evening) - its charging hours are Monday to Sunday between 8am and 6pm.
