Lewis Capaldi has revealed the name of his long-awaited new album along with dates for a tour of the UK and Europe.
The Whitburn star had been teasing some “big news” to his followers on Instagram before announcing the tour, which includes a date at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro.
He said his new album will be named ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’ and currently has a release date of May 19 next year.
The album is a follow-up to his debut, ‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent’, which was the biggest selling UK album of both 2019 and 2020.
Speaking about his new album, he said: “I don’t want to create a new sound for myself, or reinvent myself. The songs I want to write are emotional songs, about love or loss.”
The 26-year-old went straight to the top of the UK singles chart with his song ‘Forget Me’ last month, making it his third UK number 1.
He will now take to the road next year for a full arena headline tour across the UK and Europe. Pre-sale on October 26, and general sale on October 28.
