Levi's to open new store on Henry Street in June as Dublin 1 recovery 'well and truly underway'

Levi’s are set to to open their flagship Irish store on Henry Street in June.

The popular clothing company, which also has a store on Grafton Street, have moved to the premises previously occupied by Evans store at the corner of Henry Street and Moore Street. Planning permission for the replacement of the existing fascia and signages was lodged with Dublin City Council in April.

The store management has already put a notice on the shop windows that says: "Hello Dublin, your new Levi's store is nearly ready. Opening June 2023."

Levi's is not the only store that will be livening up North Inner City this year. In a statement in early April, Savills' Director of Retail Kevin Sweeney said that "the long-awaited recovery of retail in Dublin 1 is well and truly underway". He explained: "This summer will see the opening of the flagship H&M and Flannels stores in Clerys, and Tessuti’s first Irish store in the Jervis Centre.

"These openings will be topped-off by the Sports Direct Group, who plan to transform the long-vacant ex-Debenhams into their marquee Irish store. " Mr Sweeny added that along with the Levi's store, the most high-profile recent deals on Henry street are Foot Locker taking the ex-H&M store in Ilac Centre and Dubray Books taking the ex-Dealz store on Mary Street.
