Celtic reportedly watched AEK Athens forward Levi Garcia for a second time this weekend as Ange Postecoglou considers bolstering his forward line.
But they weren't alone with reports in Greece claiming 14 other European teams were in attendance for their derby draw with Panathinaikos. The Scottish Sun reported last week that 25-year-old Garcia was watched by scouts from Parkhead as he netted a penalty in AEK's win over Olympiacos. He was tipped as a potential replacement for Liel Abada, who has been the subject of interest from the English Premier League.
But there may be space in the forward line either way should James Forrest, who hasn't been in a squad since February, move on. And Sportime now claim Celtic scouts were in attendance for a second time to watch Trinidad and Tobago forward Garcia who went chasing his 19th goal of the season.
It didn't come for him but he had scored in the three games prior and is enjoying an impressive season in Greece. Reports there say that as well as Celtic, scouts from 14 different clubs watched the derby with Stuttgart, Lazio, Bordeaux, Slavia Prague and Lille all named.
And Garcia is likely to have been the main man in the cross hairs having notched 24 goal involvements in 38 appearances this season.
