Police in Nottinghamshire have uncovered a cannabis growing operation with more than 1,000 plants worth almost £1million. A letting agent found the "extremely large" operation at an address in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
The Mansfield Reacher Team seized a total of 1,007 plants with an estimated value more than £900,000 from multiple rooms. The force said the electricity had also been bypassed before it was made safe.
"The Mansfield Reacher Team would like to reassure members of the public that action will be taken to disrupt criminal activity to ensure that you and your property is safe," Mansfield District Police said in a Facebook post.
"If you have any information about illegal vehicles or possible cannabis grows in your area then please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Alternatively, you can contact the Mansfield Reacher via email. OpReacher-Mansfield@Nottinghamshire.pnn.police.uk."
