'Let's see' - Jesse Marsch refuses to be drawn into Bamba Dieng, Daniel James transfer talk

Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch has refused to discuss reports surrounding Bamba Dieng and Daniel James in his pre-Brentford press conference. Dieng is reportedly set to fly to England in the coming hours to undergo a medical and finalise a switch to Elland Road, while James is said to be on the verge of a season-long loan move to Fulham.

Marsch has repeatedly spoke of his desire to bring in a new striker this summer and it appears Leeds are finally set to follow up on his wish in the final hours of the window. That said, Marsch insisted he is happy with the team he has at his disposal.

He said: "You always have these transfer deadlines and figure out how to manage them. Victor and Andrea have worked so hard in the last three weeks so I think they could answer that question more affirmatively even more so.

"But again, we like our team, we think we've done a good job on this window so let's see what happens. I like our team period, but obviously the whole time we've been trying to figure out ways to strengthen.

"We feel really good about the group, that was the thing I said to them today in our meeting. I think that's always almost the case [going down to the 11th hour]. Things pop up in the 11th hour that weren't there a month, two months ago. Let's see."

Marsch, meanwhile, refused to discuss reports that James could leave the club before tonight's 11pm deadline. Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with a move but it appears as though Fulham could be set to win the race as they close in on a loan deal.

He said: "Yeah, again, I don't want to talk about Dan's situation either right now."
