Leslie Ash has been put off cosmetic surgery for life and urged other women to "grow old naturally" instead of seeking solutions to remain young.
The Quadrophenia actress, 59, who is celebrating 40 years since the iconic movie was made, appeared on ITV's Lorraine where she spoke candidly about her own botched experience.
Back in 2002 Leslie was left with a swollen pout after having fillers in her lips, and said it was enough to put her of going under the knife again.
Leslie told Lorraine who asked about how she feels approaching 60 and blamed the selfie craze on the surge in cosmetic procedures.
"It would be lovely to just grow old naturally. There are [procedures] out there for people who want them. We live in the era of selfies and having to look perfect.
"What’s sad is there are young girls of 18/19 having these fillers. A lot of people see what happened to me and are more careful, which is good. We are all looking the same now though!"
Leslie added that she felt there was a lot of pressure on women to stay looking younger as they age, but said that she didn't feel any differently ahead of her milestone in February.
"I thought it was going to be over when I turned 50! But I don’t feel different. I have actually got a lot more drive.
"So many women in different industries are still at the head of their game. It's a great time for women!"
Leslie, who made her name in Men Behaving Badly, has previously said that she found it difficult to get work.
The TV star admitted on an appearance on Loose Women that she was struggling to get any acting roles and thought her age and disability were the main reasons.
She feared she’d never walk again after contracting deadly infection MRSA while being treated in hospital for cracked ribs in 2004.
She had to learn how to walk and has been left with a limp and often needs a walking stick as an aid.
Leslie, who's botched lip surgery she has never recovered from, also said previously that she felt "shame" after been nicknamed "trout pout".
Speaking on Cosmetic Surgery Nightmares on This Morning in 2015, Leslie said: "You feel like hiding yourself away and never coming out.
"When it’s gone badly there’s this shame. I know because I went through it."
