Leonardo DiCaprio and his rumoured girlfriend are the same ages as Last of Us characters Joel and Ellie.
The Titanic star, 48, is said to be dating Parisian model Eden Polani, who, aged 19, is 29 years the actor's junior.
Their age gap is almost the same as actors Pedro Pascal, 47, and Bella Ramsey, 19, who play father figure Joel and Ellie in Netflix's apocalyptic series.
Sharing a photo of the characters from the show, one viewer wrote: "Just for context, these two are the same ages as Leo DiCaprio and his new girlfriend."
Reports of a romance between Leo and Eden surfaced after they were papped hanging out at the release party for Ebony Riley's new EP.
Sources say they're just friends, but that didn't stop fans flocking to Twitter after photos of the pair went viral.
Some said the comparison between Eden and Ellie made their 'skin crawl,' while others tweeted it made them want to 'throw up.'
"If you want to grasp that age gap by seeing it in different people, here you go ... It shows how f**king nasty it is," one person tweeted, sharing a video of Pedro and Bella.
The video got more than five million hits with many viewers pointing out Eden wasn't even born when Leo's smash-hit Titanic debuted in 1997.
Someone else tweeted: "Kate Winslet was 22 when she was nominated for an Oscar for Titanic. Which is 3 years older than Leonardo DiCaprio’s current girlfriend."
Other fans pointed Leo and Eden's age gap was the same as actors David Harbour, who is 47, one year younger than Leo, and Millie Bobby Brown, who is 18, a year younger than Eden.
Leo has a history of dating younger model,s having enjoyed romances with Giselle Bundchen, Bar Refaeli and Camilla Morone.
He was also recently linked to Gigi Hadid, who at 27, is 22 years his junior.
Over the years, fans have been theorising the Titanic star breaks up with women when they reach their mid-twenties.
Quoting a tweet mentioning Leo's age and his new rumoured romance, comedian Katherine Ryan said: "This is literally all I’ve talked about for SEVEN YEARS.
"This year, Titanic became too old for Leonardo DiCaprio to be in it," Katherine responded.
However, one person criticised her tweet and asked the comic 'what the crime is' as they're 'both adults'.
She replied: "No crime just a creepy pattern."
