British singer-songwriter Leona Lewis has revealed she has welcomed a baby girl with husband Dennis Jauch. The newborn is the couples first child, and Leona confirmed their happy news via social media.
The 37-year-old singer, who first found fame on ITV's X Factor back in 2006 when she was crowned the winner, shared an adorable picture with her 740k Instagram and 1.1.M Twitter followers announcing their new arrival. The photo showed their baby girl in Leona's arms with both her and Dennis' hand over the baby.
In the caption she had revealed the sweet name they had chosen, it read: “And then there were three. Our little Carmel Allegra arrived 22.7.22.” Dennis, who is a German-born creative director, shared the same picture and message on his own Instagram account to his followers.
The couple have been showered in messages from famous faces and fans who have sent their congratulations to the family. Amongst those commenting have been RuPaul's Drag Race judge Michelle Visage, Dancing on Ice winner and radio presenter Sonny Jay and singers Jessie J and Calum Scott.
Leona, who is best known for hits such as Bleeding Love, Run and Better In Time and her Christmas track One More Sleep, married her husband Dennis in Italy in July 2019. She announced her pregnancy via social media back in March, sharing a picture of her in a black bodycon dress showing off her baby bump, the caption read: “Can’t wait to meet you in the Summer.” with a red heart emoji.
