Leon Edwards Next Fight: 'Rocky' Returns In March At UFC London

The Leon Edwards next fight is a hot topic of conversation, with the former 170-pound champion now confirmed to be fighting Sean Brady in a welterweight clash at UFC London in March.

Leon Edwards Next Fight: When Will The Former UFC Welterweight Champion Return?

Leon Edwards remains one of the biggest names in the UFC right now, despite losing his UFC Welterweight Title in his last fight. ‘Rocky’ was the king of the 170-pound division for 16 months or so, winning three title fights before losing his belt to Belal Muhammad at UFC 304 in July 2024.

As well as being an elite fighter, Edwards is also one of the most followed UFC fighters in the world, with over one-million Instagram followers. He is also one of only two English UFC champions in history, alongside former middleweight king Michael Bisping.

Leon Edwards’ record is an impressive 22-4 (1 NC), which consists of seven knockout victories, three submissions and 12 decision wins. The 33-year-old is also widely regarded as one of the best welterweights in the world right now, and most definitely deserves another title shot in 2025.

UFC fans last saw the English fighter in action at UFC 304 back in July 2024, where he of course lost his belt to Belal Muhammad. Now, for the Leon Edwards next fight, he will be looking to begin the New Year on a high and bounce straight back to winning ways following his first defeat in over eight-and-a-half years.

Regarding the Leon Edwards next fight, the former 170-pound champion is set to face Sean Brady at UFC London in March. The fight has now been officially signed and sealed, with UFC President Dana White set to announce it publicly in the next few weeks.

The best UFC betting sites will likely have ‘Rocky’ as a slight betting favourite over Sean Brady, for their welterweight main event clash at the O2 Arena in London, England in March.

Who Else Could Leon Edwards Fight In 2025 After Sean Brady Clash At UFC London?

UFC President Dana White will be excited to see Leon Edwards back inside the octagon in early 2025. He mightn’t be one of the biggest draws on the UFC roster, but he is an extremely talented fighter and is a former champion. Both of these things make him a fan favourite in the MMA world.

Although the Leon Edwards next fight has been confirmed for UFC London against Sean Brady, ‘Rocky’ also has plenty of other options for the remainder of the year. If Edwards wins on his return at UFC London in March, then he could likely be in line for a shot back at his old UFC Welterweight Title.

Belal Muhammad currently holds the 170-pound belt, and will likely defend it against Shavkat Rakhmonov in the first quarter of 2025. Depending on the result of that fight, Edwards could fight the winner for UFC gold, if indeed he beats Brady first.

If he doesn’t get an immediate shot at the welterweight strap in the summer of 2025, then a final eliminator against someone like Ian Garry or Jack Della Madallena would make total sense too. Time will tell who Leon Edwards’ next fight is against after Sean Brady.

Either of those two bouts make sense for Leon Edwards’ next fight. However, all of these fights will be down Edwards’ list of priorities right now, as he has his sights firmly set on getting back to winning ways at the O2 Arena for UFC London in March.

The 33-year-old most definitely has options after the Sean Brady clash, but has to win that fight first or all other plans are scuppered.
